The defending champions, Gor Mahia, drew level with FKF Premier League leaders Posta Rangers on 19 points after securing a narrow 1-0 victory against a 10-man Shabana during Wednesday’s clash at Kasarani Stadium.

Ronny Onyango was the toast of the day after his stoppage-time strike secured maximum points for K’Ogalo to sink Shabana into more troubled waters.

In other fixtures, troubled AFC leopards failed to build on their first win of the season as they were held to a barren draw at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.

Formerly bottom of the league Sofapaka stunned KCB 3-0 with goals from Ali Khalid, Abdul Razak and Asembaka to send the Batoto Ba Mungu ahead of Shabana and Nzoia Sugar in 16th place on the log standings.

Tusker FC added to head coach Robert Matano’s woes as they fell 1-0 to Ulinzi stars at the Ruaraka Stadium courtesy of a Boniface Muchiri strike.

Other midweek fixtures saw a barren draw between Talanta FC and Nzoia Sugar as Bidco United sank Muhoroni Youth 3-0 while Bandari FC edged Police FC 3-2 at the Mbaraki Sports Club.

League leaders Posta Rangers will face Homeboyz test at the Bukhungu Stadium later today.
